S1E2: The Road to Sobriety

Despite societal tendencies normalizing and glorifying alcohol consumption, alcohol remains a highly addictive drug. While many of us recognize the long-term implications of excessive alcohol use, we may find ourselves at a point where the psychological effects of alcohol become a routine staple in our lives. It is estimated nearly 30% of Americans struggle with alcohol use disorder, which defines itself as the inability to cease alcohol consumption even if alcohol is causing behavioral, physical, or mental implications.

In this episode, I sit down with Christina Baker, owner of the Co-Lab Studios in Clearwater, Florida as she bravely discusses her own struggles with alcohol and how this has impacted her overall mental health. We also chat about the importance of having a good support network, the benefits of living a sober lifestyle, and the honest situations one might encounter while on the road to sobriety.

Christina Baker and I discuss alcohol abuse and mental health.
